2020 has been an incredibly disruptive, upsetting and unforgettable year. However with some semblance of normality returning to our local area; opportunities to come together in prayer are beginning to arise after a long hiatus.
On Sunday the 4th of October at 3pm, St Joseph's Cathedral opens its doors to all those who wish to celebrate with Bishop Michael McCarthy a Holy Hour for Life. This special event on Sanctity of Life Sunday will include Adoration, the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Reflections from the words of St John Paul II. This is the perfect opportunity for those who have sorely missed the unique beauty of adoration during lockdown and COVID-19 restrictions.
The following weekend on Saturday 10th of October at 10am, the Cathedral Doors will once again be wide open to all those who wish to bring their rosary beads to Rosary in the Cathedral (rosary beads will also be available at the door). Usually Rosary in the Park, QLD government restrictions have meant this event will this year be held in the Cathedral. Event organisers, encourage all to join as a community in honouring Our Lady and asking her intercession for Australia and for the world.
Both of these events require only that attendees register at the door and observe social distancing requirements.
