Held on Sunday 4th of October at 3:00pm, Catholics from around the Diocese gathered at St Joseph's Cathedral for Holy Hour for Life. In additional to the prayer experience in the Cathedral, many participants stayed to enjoy a social gathering as well.
Being one of the first major special prayer events since the COVID-19 pandemic, there were many keen participants who arrived on Sunday for an evening of prayer. Led by Bishop Michael McCarthy, attendees took part in Adoration and and Reflection from the words of St John Paul II. Special guests at Holy Hour for Life included Fr Matthias Ogwo and two of our seminarians Peter Doherty and Ashwin Acharya.
After the ceremony, the fellowship continued at the Red Lion where many relished the opportunity to once again enjoy the company of their fellow parishioners over dinner and drinks.
The Cathedral Parish of St Joseph congratulates organisers on this successful event and will keep readers up to date with similar events happening in the future.
