Letter From Bishop Michael Regarding Catholic Men's Gathering 2021

The Catholic Men’s Gathering is an initiative of the Australian Catholic Bishops with the aim of inspiring and encouraging men with a vision for personal discipleship, service and mission in the family, parish/diocese and the world. This event was held in an online format last year and the organising team has decided to run another online event for 2021, which will go live on the 31st of July.

I attended the local gathering here in Rockhampton last year and was impressed with the presentations from the speakers and encouraged to see men gathered to listen to the call to be active members of the Church. As well as having the full support of my brother Bishops, this event has my full support within our Diocese, and I encourage you to promote it within your communities.

It is not intended that this will continue to be an annual event in the future, so I urge you to make the most of this resource while we have the opportunity.

Michael Otto from our Diocese is the contact with the national organising committee and can provide you with more details. If you have any questions or thoughts about this initiative, please contact him at Michael.Otto@rok.catholic.net.au.
