Faith formation in a COVID world can often be a balancing act of providing meaningful in-person experiences whilst ensuring social distancing restrictions are being met. However, for the organisers of MenAlive Rockhampton, the extra effort was worth it to ensure Catholic Men had the opportunity to once again meet in person in what has been an isolated and sometimes lonely year.
MenAlive Rockhampton has been gathering in various capacities for many years in the region with more recent meetings being held at the Frenchville Sports Club each Monday to discuss the Gospel of the day. During COVID-19 lockdown, members were quick to adapt by moving to virtual meetings which while challenging, came with unexpected opportunities such as special guest appearances by seminarians to add a new dimension to discussions.
Post-Lockdown, MenAlive Rockhampton are excited to unveil an additional opportunity to meet right here at the Cathedral Parish of St Joseph. Meeting on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm at the Cathedral Centre, all adult men are invited to enjoy prayer, fellowship and formation with likeminded peers.
